Holderness

Cloud Atlas

What an amazing and peculiar book! How can one writer have so many completely different styles? The book consists of five separate and very different stories, each completely different from the others and unrelated in time, style, and characters, yet... they are related.

It's about good and evil in human nature, (there seems to be a preponderance of evil, but good persists) and about some kind of connectivity or continuity of souls across time and geography.
